This specimen again illustrates the violent times here in the Devonian and shows laminated layers of volcanic ash that has been smashed by further volcanic activity or earthquakes and the fragments then re-cemented with agate. This new locality is very unusual as I have not seen the same thing anywhere else in Scotland.
